Gatherings offer an intimate setting in which to connect your inner landscape to the natural world through ancient and modern folk arts and shared community space.
Gatherings include: - music meditation + light musical participation (optional) - seasonal folk crafts, activities or central altar creation - poetic/philosophical/spiritual/literary/folkloric readings - writing circle (bring a journal or paper provided) - folk dance (occasional; join or enjoy watching)
We invite attendees to bring mats, pillows, or any preferred portable seating. Chairs are available.
Each Gathering reflects the spirit of its seasonal time. They are history and folk traditions-based while incorporating new ideas and modern elements. We strive to balance interactive fun with shared quiet, and to guide in an open-ended atmosphere, leaving meditative time for reflection, mindfulness practice, uninhibited mind-wandering or prayer at the guest's preference.
